I’m in Pennsylvania, back for a meeting at what my housemate calls “the mothership”. (Does she think I’m an alien? Hmmm…)
Anyway, I’m staying with a friend of mine for the weekend. I’ve been here many times, but now that I’m blogging, I’m always on the lookout for little tidbits of wisdom that speak to me. I think I’ll skip the cute little novelty items like the “Nun Chuck” and the “Lookin’ Good for Jesus” cosmetic kit (Sr. R. has a fun but strange sense of humor…), and share with you the following quote I finally noticed on a matted card in the bathroom:
Listening to your heart, finding out who you are, is not simple. It takes time for the chatter to quiet down. In the silence of “not doing” we begin to know what we feel. If we listen and hear what is being offered, then anything in life can be our guide. Listen.
Now there’s a message I need to receive, especially during these busy days of starting a new semester. I pray that you will have the opportunity to listen to your heart often these days…
